We are excited to bring the Sharing Imperative to audiences. At times Framework is invited to share our learning and strategy at social innovation, technology conferences and community focused presentations. Here are the conference presentations we are planning to give or have recently given. Some of the material is recycled, depending on the host organization. We customize each presentation where possible for the best results. Below are some of the places where we've brought the Sharesies model to others.

We have been invited to speak to the Movember team at their monthly Lunch and Learn session. We are quite excited to share our thoughts and insight into the future of philanthropy.

Movember has been one of the world's fastest growing fundraising organizations. 

UWT Youth Engagement Panel

Friday June 22nd, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
A small group of youth and cross-sectoral leaders from youth-led organizations, community agencies, funders and institutions, the corporate sector and academia. 

  • youth are empowered as leaders and partners in community building and in the services that will help them thrive
  • a youth-centred vision is shared and impact coordinated across government, institutions and community-based organizations
  • the youth-focused system enables maximum and measurable impact

Through a series of facilitated creative exercises, we will ask:
  • What can we create together that we can’t create alone?
  • What does a long-term systems change process look like and what approach might we use?
  • What great work is happening now, and how can that be amplified?
  • What might be the shared vision of a high-impact collective change process ?
  • Who should be involved and how?

2012 My Charity Connects

Monday June 12th, 2012 Allstream Centre

Amanda is presenting on some of the actual technical tools we use, and Anil will be moderating a panel on Do-good organizations operating like the open web.

Here is the draft presentation outline. And here are the high level questions that will be brought to the panelists:
  • What are open organizations and how do they function?
  • Pros and cons of open organizations - with examples from panel
  • How having an open organization can alter: the decision making process, transparency (especially to donors), staff interaction, etc.



211 National Direction Advisory Dinner

Monday April 30th, 2012 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Anil was invited to give a short speech during dinner on his team's investigation on how Nonprofit Organizations can operate like to open web. The presentation was prepared to address the key objectives of the two day meeting: 
  • To reach a shared understanding of the drivers behind and direction of the strategic vision for 211 Canada
  • To discuss and advise on proposals to realign national governance
  • To discuss a roadmap for realizing the 211 national direction


Mars Discovery District Digital Technology Summit

Wednesday March 29th, 2012 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

The Summit is focused on educating, and discussing how digital technology and tools can fuel productivity and growth for the SMEs attending with specific attention to four streams: Accounting, E-Commerce, Cloud and CRM.

Box World Tour Toronto

Box.com is hitting the road, visiting over 20 cities across the world in 2012. Labelled as 'Building the Smarter Enterprise', the Box World Tour is designed to people confront the ever-changing dynamics in enterprise IT to help companies and nonprofits grow. 

The Framework team will be there speaking about how we leverage Box to make the Timeaiser happen. 

We are also really excited to be there because it gives us the opportunities to showcase some of our integration techniques and use cases.Hope to see you there.

Cannexus 2012 - January 23rd/24th 2012

WIFI: Women Investing for Impact

An organization bringing together like-minded women interested in venture philanthropy and other models for impact investing. Amanda is presenting to WIFI's network of Montreal based non-profit organizations for an hour-long "Art of the Possible" presentation on December 6th 2011.

Innoweave - November 22nd/2011

Innoweave is provides grantees of the J.W. McConnell Foundation a series of workshops and online knowledge sharing opportunities. Framework will be co-creating the first workshop on Technology Strategies to Improve Impact Reporting. We will be drawing from our R & D work via the Platformation project to provide a very hands-on workshop. Here is a short-video on the workshop.

iSisters 10th Anniversary Celebration

iSisters mentors and educates women about the possibilities of technology. Our goal is to increase economic independence and self-esteem, by providing free access to innovative and customized learning programs that build capacity within each woman and within the non-profit sector.

Amanda was invited to present to iSisters during their AGM and 10th Anniversary Celebration. As iSisters reflects on the previous 10 years and where they have been as an organization, they also wanted to look to the "future" of the cloud and discuss what is on the technology horizon.

Girls Action Foundation - Light a Spark Series

Amanda was invited to host a webinar for Girls Action Foundation as part of the Light a Spark Campaign.

"Amanda will talk about how you can work smarter, not harder to further your social mission (personal or professional) using web-based tools. The webinar will include a demo of affordable software tools that allow you to easily collaborate with others on projects, as well as share documents, files and budgets."

Skills for Change - AGM

The Skills for Change Annual General Meeting takes place on Thursday, September 22, 2011.

From the Skills for Change Website: 
"The art of possible -- One of the year's most signifcant highlights is a move into social technology and social media at Skills for Change. We were inspired and encouraged by Anil Patel and Framework, and are delighted that Amanda Grainger Munday, Timeraiser at Framework, will take us on an exploration of the art of possible.  Not too be missed by anyone interested in collaboration".

Royal Ontario Museum - Sharesies Lunch & Learn

After seeing our presentation at My Charity Connect 2011, the ROM team invited Framework to showcase our internal collaboration tools and discuss the Sharesies model. 

The hour-long presentation is focused on how multiple teams from different departments can work collaboratively within the ROM and to external stakeholders, partners, volunteers, media etc.

2011 Canadian Business & Community Partnership Forum - June 7th to 9th

Tech Soup Canada's Tech Tuesday 2011

How many times have you emailed a document back and forth, and eventually lost track of which was the current version? How do you keep track of all the things you need to do, and keep others in the loop? Is preparing for a board meeting a monumental effort?

April is the second month in our Technology Planning for Nonprofits series, and the focus for this month is on collaboration and productivity. At our April Toronto Net Tuesday, Timeraiser andCharity Village will share the strategies and tools they use to collaborate with others - coworkers, board, partners and public - and make the best use of their time.
